Urological Oncology

You are here

Urological oncology describes the treatment of urological cancers. This includes cancer of the kidney, bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters and testicular cancer. They are relatively common cancers that can effect both men and women (excluding prostate and testicular cancer).

Our patients have access to some of the country's leading urological cancer specialists. Diagnostic services include transrectal ultrasound and biopsy of the prostate, transperineal biopsy prostate, including MRI targetted fusion biopsy prostate, telescopic examination of the urinary tract, and diagnostic imaging. Treatments include laparoscopic, robotic and excisional surgery, intravesical immunotherapy and chemotherapy. Our urologists work in association where appropriate, with radiation oncologists and medical oncologists to ensure our patients have access to the latest in oncological care.
